I read in an article on soccernet last year that the Bundesliga actually has the highest number of goals per game amongst the bigger leagues. Don't know if that is true as I never researched it, but I imagine it is if they actually put it in the article. Don't watch Bundesliga so I can't comment beyond that.
EPL and La Liga are pretty attack minded leagues with La Liga being more of a passing league (much like the Spanish team, short, quick passes, short, quick midfielders). Only Arsenal really play that style in the EPL. EPL is more physical than La Liga.
Serie A is much more defensive save for Roma and probably Fiorentina. Much like the Italian team, more pragmatic and defense minded, don't t play the high back line like EPL teams do. Serie A is probably the most top heavy of the leagues with Juve, Milan, Inter and Roma far, far better than the rest of the league, although Milan actually finished 5th this year and didn't make Champions League. The second tier of teams (Samp, Udinese, Fiorentina) can contend for 4th place but usually come up short. The rest of the league is generally absolute shit and gets run ragged by the bigger teams.
EPL has the best and deepest "middle" group of teams. Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and ManU almost never lose at home (Chelsea hasn't lost in like 80+ straight, Arsenal only once in about 55 games at Emirates). Middle group would include Aston Villa, ManCity, Spurs, Everton, Blackburn (though they just lost their manager who is a really good manager) and even the teams below them aren't entirely bad. As a whole, EPL's best are probably better than the best in the other leagues, their middle are significantly better IMO and their worst (save the absolute worst like a Derby) are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the worst in the other leagues. Much more competitive top to bottom IMO with only Spain being comparable.
Spain isn't as top heavy with only Barca and Real being generally far superior than everyone else, then spots 3-7 or so being very competitive amongst a number of quality teams. Don't know much about the lesser teams in Spain.
